Board Members
Ann Jarrett, Secretary
Ann Akers Jarrett has been an active supporter of the EC2055 project from its beginning and enjoys seeing Blakely and Early County take progressive steps for the future.
A graduate of Samford University, in Birmingham, Ala., Ann holds a BS in Science in Home Economics Education. She served as Early County’s Home Economist with the Georgia Cooperative Extension Service. She currently is retired from the State of Georgia as a Regional Medicaid Program Consultant with Family & Children Services/ Department of Human Resources. In 1994, she was awarded the DFCS State Management Staff of the Year by the Georgia County Welfare Association.
In addition to serving as Secretary/ Treasurer of the Board of Pioneer Community Hospital of Early, Ann has been instrumental in securing and retaining quality healthcare for Early County citizens. She is a founding Board Member and Sponsor of Impact Early Young Professionals and a member of the Blakely Hometown (BHT) Board, participating in the area’s Mural projects, Court Square Lighting project and other BHT sponsored events.
Ann's volunteer work includes EC2055 projects, Peanut Proud Festivals, Early County Farm Bureau, Early Memorial Nursing Home and Bobcat Football Athletic Boosters, to name a few.
